Meet Dr. Rowland Shank, Jr.
Clinician & Partner
Dr. Rowland Shank, Jr. is a native of the Shenandoah Valley who recently returned to Harrisonburg after 28 years of practice in Lancaster, PA. He received a B.A. in Psychology from Messiah College in 1977. Following a year as a mental health worker at Prairie View Mental Health Center in Newton, Kansas, he attended Fuller Theological Seminary’s dual degree program, where he received an M.A. in Theology [1983] and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology [1984]. Dr. Shank was a staff psychologist at Philhaven Hospital in Mt. Gretna, PA before entering private practice at Behavioral Healthcare Consultants in 1989. From 1992 to 2012 he was one of seven partners at Behavioral Healthcare Consultants.
